Why I started Zekora
I'm Abdel. I studied software engineering at the National Higher Polytechnic School of Douala, and I've been building websites, web apps and mobile apps ever since — first for myself, then for other people.
I started Zekora because of a conviction I can't shake: Africa has to build its own digital future, not import it. Real development runs on digitalisation. When a business digitises how it works, it starts producing data that is clean, real, and its own — and enough of that data is what lets a country make better decisions, build local services, and one day train its own AI models instead of depending on tools designed in America, Europe or Asia.
It all starts with the unglamorous first step: getting a business off paper and spreadsheets and onto something built properly. That's the part Zekora does — one system, one company at a time.
